DFW residential HVAC · after-hours recovery
AnswerCrew recovers the after-hours and overflow calls your 3–15-tech DFW HVAC shop is already missing. We follow your booking, safety, and handoff rules—and show the jobs saved in a monthly recovered-revenue report.
A practical fit check. No sales theater.
Where AnswerCrew fits
Depending on current plans and availability, basic AI reception may cost about $30/month from Zoom, about $99/month from Yelp, or come as a native add-on inside Jobber. If your shop only needs a greeting, FAQs, and standard booking inside one supported system, one of those products may be the better buy.
AnswerCrew is for the messier phone path: your service area, job types, actual capacity, approved fees, safety exceptions, existing-customer rules, and the moments when a person must take over.
Low-cost starter
Managed call operations
The test is simple: do you need a low-cost starter, or someone accountable for managed call operations?
Proof — the calls you'd have lost
We don't show only the easy take. You'll hear a real after-hours booking, an emergency handed to a live on-call operator, and a call the assistant correctly refuses to fake.
A caller whose AC is running but blowing warm—the kind of call that usually hits voicemail. The assistant confirms the details, discloses the fee, books an approved window, and that job stays on your calendar instead of going to the next shop.
A late-night no-cool call after a dangerously hot day. The assistant runs the safety screen, captures the details, discloses the approved fee, and warm-transfers the caller to your on-call operator—who picks up already knowing the story.
A call outside the approved residential workflow. Instead of faking a booking, the assistant recognizes the limit early and routes the caller to a human with a full summary—so nothing gets dropped and no one has to repeat themselves.
Same number as at the top of the page — try an after-hours booking or emergency yourself.

Boundaries
Full credit: 100% of the $750 pilot fee is credited toward an approved full deployment when its statement of work is signed within 45 days of the pilot start.
After the pilot
You continue on one accountable plan—not a stripped-down tier that can't fund the tuning your calls need. Price steps up only when the work does.
Managed Ops
$1,500–$2,000 setup + $497/month
Best for a 3–15-tech shop that wants after-hours or overflow calls recovered, booked, and reviewed—with a named operator accountable when a call goes wrong.
Managed Ops+
$997/month
For shops with nonstandard dispatch rules or multiple systems, once integrated booking and revenue attribution are in place and earning their keep.
Voice-platform usage stays separate and visible. Final scope and price require a written proposal; not every shop is a fit—if a native tool covers you, we'll say so.
Transparent platform costs
Your shop owns and pays its Retell account. AnswerCrew bills for design, deployment, monitoring, and managed operations—not marked-up minutes.
Planning examples use about $0.13 per call-minute and about $2/month for the number. Actual invoices vary with configuration and usage.
| Inbound minutes | Usage | Number | Estimated total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | about $65 | about $2 | about $67/mo |
| 1,500 | about $195 | about $2 | about $197/mo |
| 3,000 | about $390 | about $2 | about $392/mo |
Estimates exclude taxes, optional features, carrier surcharges, and integration charges.
Straight answers
Still deciding whether your call path fits? Bring the awkward call—not just the easy one.
Ask a questionNo. The pilot starts with inbound after-hours or no-answer overflow. Your current main-line path stays in place, and the pilot has a defined rollback. Expansion happens only after you and your staff review the calls.
The assistant does not diagnose equipment. Approved safety phrases—such as a carbon-monoxide alarm, suspected gas, smoke, or fire—interrupt ordinary booking. The caller is directed to leave the danger area and call 911 or the appropriate utility when your approved policy requires it. AnswerCrew does not replace emergency services.
It should say so. Unsupported, uncertain, or human-request calls follow your approved transfer or priority-callback path. Critical details are read back, failures are logged for review, and the assistant does not invent a diagnosis, price, availability, or ETA.
The production phone plan includes a documented fallback to your existing answering path or voicemail. The pilot uses a bounded forwarding path, so rollback does not require porting the main number.
The greeting identifies the automated assistant. If recording or transcription is enabled, the greeting discloses it before collection. You approve what is collected, who can access it, and how long it is retained. Final policy and wording require client approval and, where appropriate, legal review. The pilot does not collect full payment-card details.
Yes. Callers are told they are speaking with an automated scheduling assistant. It is not a licensed HVAC technician and does not pretend to be one. It follows client-approved information and action rules, confirms critical fields, and hands off when a call leaves those boundaries.
Ownership and transparency. Your business can see its actual usage, retains control of the platform account, and does not depend on a hidden minute markup. AnswerCrew charges separately for the operating work around the platform.
